For six years, I’ve recorded myself learning and practicing “Ocean” by John Butler, the first piece of music that brought me to tears as a teenager. I dreamed of learning it “someday”, then bit by bit, got to work turning that wish into today.
The best part about Ocean is that you never play it the same way twice. I stitched together pieces from my favorite versions of live performances by John Butler, and performed the piece at Salon Sessions NYC in the summer of 2025.
Over the last few weeks, I edited a dedication to the way hours of practice turn into just a feeling when it’s time to play—my performance, interspersed with clips from private practice. I hope you feel how much it means to me to share it with you all.

I’m unbelievably thrilled to make it into the writers festival—for the second year in a row! This time in the Feature Drama category.
Look, Kid is a heart-fueled adventure that’s like Goonies x Iron Giant x Pleasantville. It’s about kids, for everyone. An action film that’s really about human relationships, it layers in lessons about listening to our gut, even when logic is still catching up.
With over 12,500 submissions this year, AFF’s largest till date, this honor places Look, Kid in the top 25% of all entries. Hooray!
Happy one-year birthday to my creative non-fiction independent publication “Brea Is Too Much”

One-year ago, I sat down to write into the void. It has been an incredibly challenging and rewarding journey, teaching me how to write first for my own serenity. I’d write even if I was the last person on earth.
As of now, I have published twenty essays and counting!! Without really pushing and marketing, I’m so happy to have a 133 subscribers. These days we think in thousands and millions, but dang, imagine 133 real people decided to stick around for my stories? I’m truly honored and thrilled.

Enough: Official Selection for BISFF - India’s only Oscar-qualifying shorts fest!

What an honor! Enough will screen at India’s largest and only Oscar-qualifying short film festival!
We’ll be in the Queer Qorner category, and I’m deeply honored to screen as a proud Indian lesbian alongside queer films from all over the world—in my home country!
I’ll be traveling to Bengaluru for the festival, August 14th — 16th. Can’t wait!

Our trailer is LIVE!! (She liiiiives).
I’m also proud to say: edited by me! I’ve been teaching myself DaVinci Resolve, and this is the first project I’ve published. I’ve fallen in love with the editing process, although it can be tedious, being in tune with the emotion and pacing is quickly becoming one of my favorite part of storytelling.

On Set for I Don’t Believe In Coincidences (Short Film)

I co-wrote, co-directed, and starred in a short film about the magic of meeting the right strangers at inflection points in our lives.
Had a wonderful time working with The Storytime Creators, a brother-sister production studio in Gurgaon/Delhi and SilverTone Creatives, a DOP and editing team that came all the way from Rajasthan for our shoot around Gurgaon.
